Catmania puts up a web site
2-18-99: Catmania has produced an up-and-coming site with links and other game information. How can I not like this site - it has my banner at the top of the main page linked to the SC Room!
Clan players create Clan Wars Server
2-17-99: Over the years, there's been some harsh words said about those who play in clans. In response, clan players recently set up their own Clan Wars Server, (Not working as of 3-31-99)where if you can go and find games against other clans. If you are interested in more information (such as how to log onto the server), contact Smurfs.
Angelique v2.8.6.1 server added
2-13-99: Word has come this way of another server (that appears to be open to the public) dubbed Angelique. Sounds French, eh? I was told it replaced Lonely, but my link to Lonely still works so I'm keeping it posted until I hear more.
Act fast: Beta testers sought
2-10-99: I came home tonight and found a message from the boss at GameStats seeking beta testers. Real World Games has a specialized title entitled "Beat the Market" that they need 10 beta testers to play. Better act fast, the request ends Sunday.
Hey, you guys are missing the GS contests!
2-10-99: You know, I did create a page for GameStats game contests - you can also use link on top menu bar at far right. GS let's me know over the weekend of its next contest, which they (and I) generally post on Mondays. Contests normally run a week. There are some really cool contests. Plus, I will list contests for other sites as I learn of them - like the one for Baldurs Gate that I posted today.
Build cheat fixed at Cybernex v2.9
2-9-99: Rowan Deppeler, system administrator for the Cybernex servers, reported the build cheat has been eliminated at the v2.9 server. That means only Regensburg still allows the build cheat - you can build bigger ships than you should be capable of.
Yahoo's Stellar Crisis Club is cool
2-7-99: I got a message in the guest book about Yahoo's Stellar Crisis Club. So I visited, found it pretty cool and joined. Of course, I will only be using the club to check my vast portfolio of stocks and any messages from those I've nuked. So far there are 24 players.
To join, click on "Clubs Top" in the upper left corner then follow directions in the left column.
Stellar Crisis Room passes 300,000 visitors
2-6-99: Stellar Crisis Room breezed past the 300,000th visitor mark at about 9 a.m. Pacific time in the U.S., according to statistics produced by LinkExchange and Web-Counter.

Almonaster game ready for server
2-1-99: Max Attar Feingold reports he's back from vacation and has uploaded Build 531 of Almonaster 2.0. Updates include several low-level changes and optimizations, a fix for Win9x systems, and some minor interface changes.
Anyone with Windows 95 (plus the Winsock2 upgrade), 98 or NT can now run the server. The entire system is in a zip file that can be downloaded. There also are installation instructions.
