OK, I finally took the plunge and played BigB a game. And, as expected, I loss. The map was terrible, and BigB applied continuous pressure. He used a pop trick early on to get one system closer to me at 20,20.
I responded with a pop trick, that pushed TWO systems at once to 50+ pop - little nest and surprise. He had not explored north. I hoped to get a few colonies started to keep up with him in strength, but it was too little, too late.
What was nice: BigB did not prance or brag about the situation (yeah, I whined a little). He was thorough and a master at getting a safe, quick nuke. Thanks for not making it hurt all night.
