SC Talk is a mailing list offering players an area to discuss various aspects of the game. Beware! You may receive 30 to 50 messages a day when discussion gets heated.
There are FIVE lists from which you can choose, with most players subscribing to sc-talk. Four of the servers are with majordomo. A fifth was added 3-21-97 for discussion of the new game, MKII, at the Lysator server. Note it's sent to a different server.
Acceptable topics at sc-talk include SC strategy, games in progress, glorious victories (inglorious defeats) and discussion about the finer points of ruling a SC galaxy.
To subscribe to any of the lists, you must leave the subject line empty or blank in an e-mail letter to MAJORDOMO@BLANK.ORG
In the body of the message write the name of the list and then your e-mail address. The lists include:
subscribe sc-talk <your email address>
A general discussion group.subscribe sc-admin <your email address>
For discussing installation, administration and development of SC.subscribe sc-announce <your email address>
For important announcements for all SC users.subscribe sc-bulletin <your email address>
For day-to-day announcements, invitations to join games.
Stellar Crisis Mk II - Talk was added 3-21-97 for discussion and bug reports for the new game, MKII, at the Lysator server.
To subscribe to the mailing list, simply send a message with the word "subscribe" in the subject field to: stellar-talk-request@crisis.net.A request would look like:
