Team Tournament needs two more players
8-18-99: Only two openings (36 empires needed to start) remain for singles at the Yahoo Club's tournament. They have a doubles tournament, too, though I don't know for sure if it's been filled. The tournaments will prove to be a bit more realistic than the last one since there will be three separate games played to judge your worth. There will then be a finals round. In the original blood tournament, if you were entered early (you were in the middle) or you had a bad map there was no second chance.
Team Tournament needs players
7-14-99: Another tournament is being organized at SC's Yahoo Club. If you are interested in being in a well-run tournament, you best hurry on over, join the club and check the messages. Message 1,424 has good information about the tournament.
Team Tournament needs pickup players
7-1-99: Seems some players have gone idle in the Team Tournament organized by Mongol Empire. Send Donnie Simmons your real name and e-mail address, and he will let you know the game server address, empire name and password.
Game 6 opens for 500-player blitz, hehe
6-30-99: Game 6 of There Can Only Be One (TCOBE) opens. Come one, come all, let's crash the server. (5-13-00: Server no longer exists.)
Team Tournament starts with 14 teams
6-20-99: Donnie Simmons' Team Tournament attracted 58 players. The tournament will open Saturday, July 3, with 14 teams.
Dogstar wins Yahoo tournament
6-19-99: Dogstar won the Yahoo Club tournament. This is a rarity, that a tournament was finished. Andy Graves should be commended for his organizing the successful tournament.
Friday is deadline for team tourney sign-ups
6-16-99: Donnie Simmons reports that Friday, June 18, is the final day to sign up for the Team Tournament. Those interested should check out the rules and other information about the tournament. If you want to play, then e-mail Simmons (aka Mongol Empire) your real name, your empire name, and your password. Of note, many players create new empires for the tournament, not wanting to give out the password to their regular empire.
New Galactic Powers game starts at Lug
6-14-99: If you are looking to join one of those HUGE games, there is a Galactic Powers game that just opened at the Lugdunum server. Get in on the ground floor and explore a very fast universe (weak-butt browsers should stay away).
New, bigger tournament seeks sign-ups
6-11-99: Donnie Simmons (Mongol Empire) announced a HUGE team (I read that as clan) war tournament, with well-thought-out rules. A limited sign-up period starts today.
Mongol Empire sets up clan wars page
4-12-99: Mongol Empire asks those that are interested in revising clan wars to go to a clan war page and to e-mail him.
Drive a foot for new-look clan wars
4-8-99: Mongol Empire is spearheading an effort for a new-look clan wars and find new ways to play Stellar Crisis. He is centering his efforts on clan wars in an effort to get more participation. One suggestion was a spin off possibly called Tribal Wars. Anyone interested in making comment can follow along at sc-talk or write Mongol Empire. ME also haunts irc (Internet Relay Chat), which is a good place to find a clan war game.
Clan Valheru posts home page
4-5-99: Clan leader Shadow-West reports Clan Valheru has posted a home page. It has an interesting exploding gif and a banner from Aleksandr Sidorenko that I have not seen in a while.
